Setup

Set up OSRS Multibox

About five minutes, and you only do it once. Next time it's one click.

  1. Install Java

Any version works, even an old one: OSBox only uses it to open, then sets up its own Java. The free Temurin build is a good pick: adoptium.net.

Use the .msi installer, and leave Associate .jar switched on so OSBox.jar opens with a double-click.

    Already have Java? Skip this.

  2. Download OSBox.jar

Use the button in your purchase email, or sign in at your account page. If your browser asks whether to keep the file, choose Keep.

  3. Open OSBox.jar and sign in

Double-click OSBox.jar and sign in with your OSRS Multibox login: the email and password from your account page. It remembers you.

The first time, it sets up its Java and downloads the game client, which takes a minute or two. Updates after that are automatic.

  4. Your dashboard opens

It opens in your browser at osrsmultibox.com/dashboard. Log in with the same email and password. Click Accounts at the top to add OSRS accounts, Jagex accounts and proxies. Got a list? Import list adds many at once.

    • Use Chrome, Edge or Firefox. Safari can't talk to OSBox.
    • If your browser asks to let the site reach devices on your local network, allow it: that's OSBox on this computer.
  5. Press Start all accounts

It starts every account and they log in by themselves. The first account in your list is the master: play on it and the rest follow. Echo & auto login below it pauses the following, and Log out all sends everyone back to the login screen.

The panel beside it shows whether your team is in sync, and which account needs you if it isn't.

Next time

OSBox keeps its own copy, so you can delete the file you downloaded. Either:

  • press Start on the dashboard. It opens OSBox for you; your browser asks once whether that's OK.
  • or open OSRS Multibox from the Start menu.

Want OSBox ready whenever your computer is on? Tick Start OSBox with my computer under Accounts.

Proxies

OSRS Multibox supports IPv4 SOCKS5 proxies. Add them under Accounts in the dashboard and pick one per account; the Test button checks a proxy works. To set them with your accounts, add one to each line of Import list:

login:password:host:port (no proxy login)
login:password:host:port:username:password

If something's stuck

OSBox.jar opens as a zip, or in WinRAR or 7-Zip

Windows doesn't know Java opens .jar files. Run the Temurin installer again with Associate .jar switched on, or right-click OSBox.jar › Open with › OpenJDK Platform binary.

The dashboard says OSBox isn't running, but it's open
  • Use Chrome, Edge or Firefox; Safari can't reach it.
  • If you blocked the browser's local network question, allow it again from the site settings (the icon left of the address).
Press Start all accounts and nothing opens

The dashboard only knows how to open OSBox after it has run once on this computer. Open OSBox.jar one time; after that, Start all accounts opens it for you.
